Before switching my primary phone to the new Jolla C, I wanted to backup my WhatsApp chats and transfer them to the new device. In WhatsApp there's an option to save the backup to Google Drive however as I don't have an account and Jolla C does not have Google Play Services, which are required for Google Drive I'm wondering if there's a way to backup via the filesystem.
When I go to Settings-Chats-Chat backup there's an button to crate a backup. It tells me that my last local backup is from today 10:07 am. Now I'm puzzled how to transfer that backup to the new phone. I don't dare to switch SIM cards as that may destroy my chat history.
Sending the chats via E-Mail from the old Jolla 1 does not work either it tells me that my mail client (k-9 mail) has stopped unexpectedly, though it is still running.
Any advise would be welcome.
