I want to fix the video player, can I branch and build it?
I am evaluating my next phone after Jolla 1 and a lot looks good for the FairPhone 2. But one thing I cannot accept any longer is the terrible UI of the video player (media player). Specifically I want the full video to remain visible when I pause it and I want a better positioning bar.
Does anybody know if the source code is open source? Can I branch it? How do I find this out? What are my chances to build and install this application (even unchanged)? Or is the media player even an integral part of SailFish that cannot be built and installed independently? Tips on how to proceed?
