What is the future of Jolla?

Can I start by saying that I think Sailfish and Jolla are great products, and that the community here is excellent.

I have had my Jolla 1 for 3 years now, and have been very pleased with it. At the time I ordered it there was nothing in the market that I would have considered over it. I did not, and still do not wish to own an iPhone, and since the demise of Nokia/Symbian/N9 my only other choice really was/is an android device. Back then there was not one device that even tempted me. Now there are a few devices that I would consider, the top being the OnePlus 3T. And Jolla seems to have abandoned it's initial market, for others. The only way I can get a Sailfish device is to buy a compatible Android device and flash it, then I might not have a fully working product.

Anyway, my query is twofold. As I said I have been very pleased with my Jolla, and while it is still working, I am starting to wonder what I would replace it with if it should start failing. Also and possibly the bigger problem in my mind is that I have no idea where Jolla/Sailfish is heading. It seems that there is much speculation on the boards here as to what Jolla is planning next, where to source devices, new devices, what features are planned etc but there is VERY LITTLE actual information from Jolla itself. The usual response is that it very much depends on the partners, as they demand/require certain features. But it seems to me that it is not even 100% certain that these partners will be partners in a months time.

We need SOME MORE FREQUENT FEEDBACK from Jolla. Saying that they are all busy developing the OS, is not a good excuse any longer, especially as they can't even give us a short term roadmap as to what features/improvements to expect. If they do not start giving more feedback then I fear that the community will slowly start ebbing away.

Please if anyone from Jolla actually reads this, can we have some information as to what to expect in the coming year from Jolla.
