I had this issue before with my N9 and I hoped that Sailfish would be better (I wrote Jolla a half year ago hoping that this would be changed...:) ).
In any case, how I would like my phone to behave is (because I'm travelling a lot): - I would like to have my phone automatically changing time zones (this is a nice thing on phones, so I don't have to think about what time it is when I'm landing somewhere). - I would like my calendar to keep time and day for all appointments as I saved them.
How native calendar behaves now: - I'm with my phone in Helsinki and scheduling an appointment e.g. on 5.2. at 15h in Zurich. Then I will fly to Zurich, when landed my phone changes automatically the time (what I want), BUT at the same time it changes my appointment time to 14h! - so I would always have to calculate time change from the place where I'm saving my schedule to the time at the location where I will have this appointment. I think this is a very strange behaviour and would like to have this changed. But maybe I'm the only one?
Could someone tell me what's the logic behind calendar changing saved appointment times when phone changes time zone? When I'm in London and scheduling an appointment in Tokyo it is not that easy to figure out what time I should save it to the calendar in a way that it will show the right time when I'm landed in Japan... Maybe I just don't get the positive aspect of this link between clock and calendar.
With my N9 this didn't happen when I manually changed the time, with my Jolla I didn't check it yet. But in any case I would clearly prefer to have automatically changed time zones.
Thanks for any explanation or hint how timezone and calendar can be disconnected.
