[Suggestion]: Release Paid Beta of Sailfish OS (without android) for Sony Xperia X

As per the Jolla Blog, Sailfish OS for Sony Xperia X is nearly ready, and it is the Android support that is delaying the project. I get how important Android support is for Jolla. (But some, like me, don't care about it much.)

I suggest that Jolla release a fully functional version of Sailfish OS (without android support) for Sony Xperia X in a month or so (if possible). Not a free version, but for whatever amount you are planning to charge for it originally.

Call it Sailfish OS (Beta) / Sailfish OS (Early supporters release) for Sony Xperia X or something like that, while highlighting that it doesn't yet have Android support, and it will be released in a future release update.

Benefits:

  • Jolla actually delivers something to its enthusiastic supporters on time (or nearabout so :).
  • Jolla gets some publicity.
  • Jolla makes some money.
  • Jolla gets more data to improve Sailfish OS on the SXX.
  • Jolla gets even more publicity when they release the next version with Android support.

That way, you can realistically target the christmas shopping season to release the OS with android support ...
