Make sure to backup your DRM keys before unlocking your phone!

Jolla and Sony states that after unlocking your phone some functions will be disabled. The reason is unlocking your phone will remove some DRM keys from your phone irretrievably.

If i recall correctly this will have impact on your camera quality and object recognition (object tracking) and other functionality. It will have impact on SafetyNet which is Androids API to detect changes on the system which includes rooting. Snapchat wont work when SafetyNet fails, Netflix won't show up on the Playstore and might not function in the future when they decide to.

Sadly this is not so easy as you need to extract the DRM keys with the Dirtycow exploit that only works on Android 6. This means downgrading the phone to Android 6, backup the DRM keys, flash your phone to the newest stock ROM, and flash SailfishX afterwords.

It does not include the SailfishX flash, but the rest of it.

You might want to check it out, as you may regret it in the future. Afaik there is a Kernelhack to enable the DRM functionality again, but this should trigger Safetynet and I couldn't get Magisk to run on my Xperia X.
