I have used the WLAN sharing from my Xperia (2.1.3.7) for about a week now, using the workaround from Jolla: https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115013777068, as the function is not officially supported yet.
WLAN works perfectly fine. I have had it on for a whole day, using it almost continuously, and the network is stable and fine. But some network ID is apparently new every time the hotspot is set up. My Windows 7 sees a new network with the same name every time. At the moment, after having set up the hotspot appr. daily for a week, my computer is connected to WLAN: "Xperia X 7".
Perhaps this is of interest for developers.
BTW, does anyone know the reason that it is not officially supported, although it can be made working?
