2.1.4.14 update fails consistently [solved]

My phone (Jolla1) downloaded the update tries to run it and then says "Failed to install update please try again later" while showing a reboot button that doesn't respond, it also doesn't respond to the power button and the only way to restart is pulling the battery.

Retrying to install even after forcing a new download by editing ~nemo/.cache/store-client/os-info consistently results in the same problem.

version --dup

Was also failing

I noticed in journalctl -xe that the repository 'home' (https://download.jollamobile.com/home:/honeybadger/latest_armv7hl/) was causing issues and after running

ssu dr home

version --dup

worked.

Though I have now managed to solve the issue I am left with this question:

Every time I'm dealing with SSU/update issues I feel like I'm groping in the dark, no man pages "error messages" which after long and many searches (and attempts to fix them) turn out to be inconsequential ("Device not registered", "ssu.ini not writable"). Can we please have some normal documentation about ssu?

Also it should be known to all, when dealing with ssu - journalctl -xe is a critical tool
