Every now and then when connected to my car audiosystem audio is not routed via bluetooth anymore. Bluetooth controls still work (next song, play/pause, etc.) but the sound comes from the speaker in the phone.

EDIT: as already stated below: I'm using this setup on a daily basis and I never had this issue since 2015 (Jolla 1, Jolla C, Xperia X).

EDIT2: Some more info:
After rebooting the phone, everything works as expected at least for the first connection to bluetooth. On the next day the music came out of phonespeakers again.
Also restarting pulseaudio
$ pulseaudio -k
(...and therefore restarting bluetooth and the mediaplayer) fixes the issue temporary.
My best guess is, there is some mess in xpolicy.

EDIT 3: I tested @paulvt s suggestion and it works for me. I start my car (connections get established, etc...), sound comes out of phone speaker. Then I disconnect/connect from bluetooth menu in settings (like descriped below), the result is no sound at all, but mediaplayer keeps plaing. Then I still have to initiate connect from car-audio, and then finally, there's sound from car-audio.
Of course this is no practicable solution, it's just a description of the symptoms.
