I have ran more than once into a situation where I try to Edit a contact in People app, but accidentally press Delete instead. In some cases when I see the timer I panic and misspress to jump to totally different letter of the alphabets instead of hitting the timer to Cancel it. By the time I get back to the right letter, the timer has ran out already and the contact is gone.

My suggestion to solve/improve this problem is either give us longer remorsetimer (extra time could be set in settings of the app - add [0-25] secs to the remorsetimer) or move and pin the timer to the top of the screen. This would help at least me to prevent these data loss cases when I press wrong twice in a row.
