I was cleaning out some packages from my Sailfish Xperia X today (latest update) and managed to break booting. I noticed that both patchmanager v2 and V3 were installed so I removed v2.
Now when I boot up, I can not unlock the device as there is no unlock screen shown (no keypad to enter unlock code). All I can see is the background image and the top pull-down menu is available (no notifications or unlock). Calls still come through and I can even hear email alerts, so it seems that everything is running properly. I have managed to boot into recovery mode shell and tried moving the patchmanager folder:
chroot /rootfs
cd /var/lib
mv patchmanager patchmanager_dis
This didn't work, when Sailfish boots, it still doesn't present the unlock keypad.
Then I had a look at packages, but not quite sure which to delete:
[root@(none) lib]# rpm -qa | grep patch
patchutils-0.3.3-10.1.2.jolla.armv7hl
patch-2.7.5+git1-1.1.4.jolla.armv7hl
sailfishos-patch-BETA-multitasking-gestures-0.1-1.noarch
I don't see anything intersing in the boot logs.
Does anyone have an idea of how I can get the device unlocked? I'm afraid I'll make it worse if I keep mucking around in the filesystem!
