I recently bought a Sony Xperia XA3 (single sim) and loaded sailfish 3 on to it. I cannot make calls from android apps I've installed such as WhatsApp, or ringcentral. To be clear I can initiate the call, but it seems they don't get access to my microphone and speaker. Also when I try to increase the volume, Sailfish will just adjust the volume of the ringtone instead of the android app making the call. I am new to Sailfish so it is possible I'm missing something. Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find it.

I'm categorizing this as a possible bug as it seems this was something that used to work on older versions of Sailfish. Though I did not find mention of it, it is possible that this is a known bug and would be fixed during the final release.

I'm assuming this would not affect anything, but I do not have microG installed.

Edit: I can see video during a video call. The issue is that neither I, nor the person I'm calling can hear any sound.
