Problem starts after successfully paring a car Bluetooth adapter and using it. I simply can't remove this device any more by means of the GUI. Of course the pairing can be removed, but every time I'm entering the Bluetooth perimeter of this car the phone automatically does the pairing with it.
The only way to stop this is to delete the very device in /var/lib/bluetooth/<BT-MAC>/cache/
using the <device-MAC>
.
As I hardly know the MAC's of my bluetooth devices I first hat to find the right device while it was paired under /var/lib/bluetooth/<BT-MAC>/<device-MAC>
. In every /<device-mac> folder is a file name info (use more info
the see the content) which holds the name of the device in the [General] section. Alternatively viewing every <device-MAC>
in the /cache
folder is possible, but there could be a lot.
Maybe somebody knows a smart shell command to list all device name with there names in one shot.
Using the command prompt shouldn't be the way to perform such a task as this requires developer mode to do so. E.g. there should be a third context menu entry under remove paring maybe forget device
