In 3.1.0, the layout of Messages has been drastically overhauled, and now hides less important information by default to make the layout more compact. Among other things, the 'delivered/read' indicator is now hidden and requires a tap on the message to see whether it was delivered/read or not.
This is fine for older messages, however, I feel like it should always be visible on the last message (if that was sent by the user), because if you don't receive a reply, you will want to know whether your message was even delivered in the first place or not, and it doesn't make sense to have to tap again just to see that information.
Seeing as the last message already has the time and date written below it, the delivered/read indicator can simply be added to that line without causing any problems.
