[Idea] Some app ideas: mimes, xdg, systemd, etc

Hi folks,

I've been having some app ideas and I'll just list them here by points. Eventually when I start developing for my Jolla (currently I don't have time for it, and c++ and qt are new to me) I'll probably do some of these if nobody steps up in the meantime.

  • Generic editor for associating certain mime tipes with supporting applications. Good for eventually different image viewers, video players, editors, etc.
  • Xdg related settings, like default browser, mail reader, etc. XDG folder names for Documents, Desktop and all of those.
  • Systemd gui application for starting and stoping services, masking and quick services status.
  • Systemd / journal gui application for seeing the logs.
  • DBUS debugging / discovering on the system like D-feet desktop application that already exists.
  • .desktop entries full editor, visualizer, organizer, categories, hide applications, ...
  • Clipboard history / manager / tracker. Not sure how this one would work because of the semantics I don't understand yet of Wayland protocol.
  • Current running processes manager, extend Crest application for more power.
  • Graphical used space visualizer to quickly discover where the wasted space is going.
  • Current open files and network accesses in the system and close / disable those accesses by some applications.
  • Try to use Rust language to create a QML application.

And some others I'm sure. My main point is, I have a full powerful linux system in my hands and I want to fully manage it. I'm a control freak so I want to be able to trully visualize what is happening in my jolla.
