Wifi dialog persistency

The wifi system dialog behaves kind of unpleasant when selected in an area where networks are available, though a user does not intend to connect with one (just peeking for what's around).

When switching to the wireless configuration dialog in system settings, the UI element displaying "Select wireless connection" (or the one displaying the available networks) seem to be kind of stuck; they can't actually be swiped away.

Up to now, the easiest way is to just switch the phone off and on again. But that's far from ideal. Any solutions to this?

There seems to be some similarity to this one: https://together.jolla.com/question/18687/bug-unable-to-minimize-system-settings-while-entering-wlan-password/
