I think it would be a good idea if the Ambiences could be used like the Activities recently introduced in KDE. One could for example create a sports Ambience directly starting the sports tracking application and the music application. In additions this could be combined with NFC for automatically switching to a specific Ambience when a specific NFC tag comes in range (e.g. switching to car mode automatically opening the maps application and enabling Bluetooth)

Maybe not only NFC based but also location geo-location based (e.g. start remote control application when coming home)
