I can't seem to decode any video or stream on my Pro¹ running the SFOS port. I initially thought it was due to the port, but other people running SFOS on their Pro¹ do not have this issue. I am running the same version of the port as them, and I got the issue right after flashing the OS (no tweaks yet), so I don't know what makes the difference between me and them.

I tested Microtube, Twitchtube and Piepmatz (Twitter videos), SFOS default player, Pico Player, Sailfish browser, and Kodi (from Openrepos). Microtube will crash softly and return to the search results. Twitchtubes just never ends buffering, and Twitter videos do not start. Local files fail in the SFOS player and in Pico Player. Local music works.

The only applications that can play local videos is Kodi, but I assume it comes with its own decoding tools (does it?). If I install Ubu chroot on SFOS and try to play videos from the chroot, they play with no issue. Here too, I expect Ubu chroot has its own dependencies for decoding.

On SFOS, I checked Gstreamer-1.0 and confirm it is installed. Could anyone help me by telling me where to start for troubleshooting?

If I install Ubu chroot on SFOS and try to play videos in the Ubu browser from the chroot, they play both Youtube and Twitter sources, everything works with no issue.
