For touch device browsers (usually HIDPI devices), its advantageous to have high-resolution favicon specified as apple-touch-icon in HTML. For example, Angelfish is showing it next to the tab with the site, bookmarks and history records. Browsers from others operating systems can use it for making web page appear on homescreen.

While jolla.com and https://sailfishos.org/ do have apple-touch-icon specified, https://together.jolla.com/ does not. Which makes it (unnecessarily) ugly on browsers supporting this feature.
