I am trying to do something that I hope can be done. I want to transfer two apk files onto my Sony X10. These are apps that I have previously had installed via the google play store but now I can't reinstall them because they are showing as installed on the play website and there is no option for me to uninstall them. I'm even having trouble getting the google site to load at all with the installed sailfish browser.
So I have the apks from another device and I want to transfer them onto my SonyX10 but I can't find a folder to put them in that I can then access from the Sony
Can somebody point me to a link or tell me how I can achieve this? I only two apps I want and then google can get out of my life. Any help greatly appreciated.

Phones are not my strong point I'm afraid. I can connect the phone and see folders such as "documents, downloads" etc and I I can put the apks in there but I can't find them on the phone. Its frustrating the hell out of me and there is very little that I can find on the net to help me. I am this on a debian based desktop system. I don't know if windows would be better?
