Jolla's Cryptsetup 2.1.0 defaults to a Luks2 header (i.e., unless --type luks1
is specified), but luksFormat
with a Luks2 header (with or without --type luks2
specified) seems to be broken in Jolla's Cryptsetup 2.1.0 (i.e., since SailfishOS 3.0.3): It always returns Command failed with code -1 (wrong or missing parameters).
, regardless which options are used (it even fails solely with the -v -q
options provided)!

Tested on an Xperia X and XA2 with SailfishOS 3.2.1, originally reported by @simosagi.
