touchscreen interface improvement

Hello Sailors, hello Jolla team,

last time i always wonder why with my XA2+ i could close any app when i have the device in the hands, but with only one finger device on a table near of impossible.

Device on the hand no problem.
Device on table, one finger many tries, depending which app i want to close, either there no reaction (to close) or i activate the button which is on the way of my finger.

Today I tried to apply some tests with the csd-tool, with which i couldn't interpret or understand what does it mean.
But there is 100% a difference between device on the hands, and device on table and close with one finger.
I made some screenshots which shows how the device catches the finger touch points.

What i want to add as info, is when i try to close an app with device on the table and only one finger. I can't then close the app (what i explained).
But as soon as i touch a border of the device with an other finger, on a side or top or but, even if really lightly. then works. App close itself.

I beg and please the dev-team and any tinker mate to give a look on it and maybe apply more analysis. And i hope then that later some improvement are done. Anyway bring at last some more explanation on it.

Screenshot of Device on a table, 1 finger apply a top-down-swish. We remark that all touch points are catched from top. Device on table 1 finger apply top-down-swish

Screenshot of Device on a table, 1 finger apply a whirl movement on top. We remark that all touch points are catched overall on top. Device table 1 finger apply whirl on top

Screenshot of Device in one hand, 1 finger apply a whirl movement on top. We remark that all touch points are catched with a gap from top (observe the gap between top and text). Device in Hand 1 finger apply whirl on top

Screenshot of device in one hand, 1 finger apply a top-down-swish. We remark that all touch points are catched have a gap from top (observe the gap between top and text). Device in Hand 1 finger apply top-down-swish

After many tests after each others, then the interface seems to be disturbed and blocked, and by whirl movements we observe taht the gaps between from the top with device in table (green points), and bigger gaps if device is in one hand (yellow points). Apparently, this effect disappear after some minutes (don't know how many). After many tries/tests then blocked the interface

Further info, if the device is on a table by charging with usb cable, then it is not affected with this effect (not able to close the app with only one finger).

This bug is quite boring if i have it near me on table, and use it with only one finger.

I don't know if it the same for all sony xa2, or xa2+ devices, or for all jolla-supported devices.
Hope that i'm not alone with this issue, because of reproducibility...

Have a nice sail.

Cheers
