Need your help going back

Ahoy, Sailors.

First of all, I am sorry for creating another thread, but I didn't find all the necessary info while searching on this website. I am perfectly satisfied with SFOS, and everything is working great on my device (XA2 h3113). The thing is, I would like to try out new Lineage OS 17.1, just a couple of weeks, and then go back into the safe harbor (SFOS).

I have found a couple of threads of people who successfully reverted to Android, but I didn't quite understand a couple of things.

  1. Should I flash the original firmware first?
  2. Should I flash the original firmware at all or just somehow flash TWRP and wipe partitions and data from it and then just install Lineage? How?
  3. Which software is better/easier for that (EMMA or flash tool)? I mainly use Linux on my PC, but wifey has a Win10 on hers.
  4. After satisfying my desire to use Android for a while, will it be easy to go back to SFOS?

sorry again for a lengthy post and thx in advance, sailors

any help is appreciated
