I'd prefer this behavior. I'd like to be able to unlock when I wake my phone without leaving lockscreen for more often than not I just want to see the info the lockscreen provides or open an app from the pull-down menu.
On Xperia 10, it's more comfortable to wake the phone from the fingerprint sensor and also accidental unlocking while reaching for the power button are common and there you lose the possibility to see the lockscreen without going through another waking cycle.
I was hopeful there would've already be such a setting to access with mcetool but it wasn't so. I understand that this feature would probably not be easy to implement with the case of instant autolocking but with timeout enabled it shouldn't be too hard to do.
