Help Installing Sailfish X On Xperia A2 Ultra (which already has Sailfish X)...

Dear All -

My previous Sailfish phone was damaged, so I recently purchased a USED / Second Hand Sony Xperia A2 Ultra (Single SIM) - with Sailfish X OS 3.2.1.20 installed.

The Sailfish X license did not come with the device, so I was unable to install Fdroid, and "Store". I therefore purchased a NEW License for Sailfish X at the suggestion of Support at Jolla.com .

I've been in touch with Sailfish Support again and they have pointed me to the Install pages on the Jolla website.

They told me: "So, you will need to traverse chapters 3, 5, 6 and 7 in the installation instructions of Xperia XA2 (make sure to select the correct one)." I did select the correct one, and I'm trying to install the new version of Sailfish X from my MacBook.

I downloaded the Sony Vendor Binary Image(s) and placed them in a folder inside the folder I'd created - on my desktop - labeled "Sailfish_OS-Jolla-3.3.0.16-h3213-0.0.7.24" .

The install instructions in Step 6 have the following points:

" 6.5 Open terminal in the same directory where you extracted the Sailfish OS .zip file 6.6 Launch the flashing script by entering the command: bash ./flash.sh "

I've dragged an instance of Terminal into folder on the desktop - Opened Terminal and typed in the command, and the output from the command is: " bash: ./flash.sh: No such file or directory "

Do I need to type in the entire file path name for the Sailfish X version & also the entire path name for the Vendor Binary Images(s) into this BASH command in order for this ./flash.sh command to register and execute...?

I've asked for more help from Support at Jolla, but they take two days to get back to me, on average.

Are there any among you who might be able to help me get my own new version of Sailfish X installed / flashed onto this device...?

I'll be most grateful for any and all help.

Thank You !!!

[SOLVED] - ish... I've managed to install Android Support on the Xperia A2 Ultra - and then to install "Store" and "Fdroid" + Whatsapp. Sailfish X UPDATE ALSO worked, so now I have a phone that functions, and I've sent Jolla a non-refundable fee for a license I guess I didn't need after all !!

But as to find the file path / directory etc. I'm none the wiser, I'm afraid.

HOWEVER - THANK YOU TO These two very helpful Sailfish 'ers for their pointers. I appreciate it !!
