Display autosleep and lock screen problem.

Hi all,

after the latest update (which I suppose was called Naamankajärvi), I noticed that the lock screen doesn't really behave as one would expect with the newest change. The change is that when the display is automatically turned off while using an app, the app gets opened up instead of home screen if you turn the display back on fast enough. In my opinion this is a great feature and I'm happy about the change. But, when you've set the phone to lock itself with no delay it get's a bit messy.

I had two assumptions on how auto lock could have worked in this situation with the timer:

  1. When you turn the display back on right after it's been automatically turned off, you should see the lock screen and after unlocking the phone you should return straight back to the app.
  2. When you turn the display back on right after it's been automatically turned off, the lock screen shouldn't be activated at all because the timer after auto turn off is still ticking.

Neither of those assumptions were correct. Instead this is what happened:

When I turned the display back on right after it had been automatically turned off, I was taken back to the application I was using before and in addition to that the lock screen was triggered in the background. I got to use the application and when I left the application the lock screen appeared while returning to home screen. In my opinion this is somewhat strange behaviour.

A couple of reasons why this shouldn't be the case in my opinion:

  1. I use the phone lock to improve my privacy. If the phone is taken while the "auto turn off timer" is still ticking important information like banking information or company secrets might get compromised because it's still possible to use the application that was open.
  2. If, and it's an if, you want the lock to activate only when the timer runs out of time, the phone lock shouldn't get activated at all if you turn the display back on during the short period of time to return straight to app.

So that's what I find odd with the current phone lock behaviour. In addition to that I'd like to thank Jolla staff for an amazing phone! Thank you. :)
