can we have upcoming calendar events (meetings, birthdays, etc) appear in the notifications screen? this would be really awesome. a quick and convenient way to get through the day as you can see what upcoming meetings, appointments, birthdays etc you have.
clicking on the item would launch the calendar app with that particular calendar item opened. in the notifications screen, the clicked calendar item persists until after the calendar item has expired. see below for what i mean.
also, can the notifications please be dynamic? meaning to say for example, you have context sensitive notifications and time sensitive notifications that disappear from the notifications screen even though the user has not seen it yet.
so for example you have a meeting at 10am. prior to 10am, the meeting shows up in the notifications screen. after 10am, the item automatically disappears from the notifications screen.
you can also configure how far into the future calendar items will appear in the notifications screen (perhaps an option for 1-5 days) or populate notifications screen with calendar items up to a maximum of 5 items - this is useful in situations where you have a gap between 2 events that is longer than a day.

or you could have apps that can control what is in the notifications feed beyond just having it appear. apps can update it, delete it.
