Sometimes phone heats up around the USB port when on charging(connecting to PC) and retains the heated state even if stop charging. In this case, the only way to stop heating is rebooting device. With my phone it happened at least two times out of five. Taking into account that this is not a constant problem most likely this is a software bug.
