I quite often listen to online radio streams and noticed that the native media player already supports .pls
stream files. The only problem is that the media player has not been registered to handle .pls
files so after downloading a file the OS will give an error saying that the .pls
can not be opened. Opening the media player though the file shows up and plays correctly.

Just to clarify, the tracker finds the .pls files and the media player plays them just fine. The problem is that the OS
does not know the media player can handle the .pls
files and thus shows an error when you try to open the .pls
file from the events view.
