[app-request] command line outputs on a 'Customizable Cover'

There have been requests for traditional widgets - which are said to be against Jolla UX framework. And app covers were pointed out as an alternative.

However, this post is to see if someone is planning on something like Queen BeeCon Widget

Concept:

  • the app shall provide input fields (under settings or so) to enter custom commands.
  • and the output of those commands shall be displayed on the app's main view page (and on the cover when minimized).
  • it can also be extended to execute user defined commands directly from the cover

The utility for such an app on Sailfish OS is not fully thought about... for now, just borrowing the idea from QBW
