The Jolla phone has xmpp messaging built in, but there is no support for multi-user chatting (MUC) yet.
So to help the development of a MUC I've set up a temporary room at conference.jabber.org for jolla. Please not that this technology could be used by Jolla in the future but for now it is just a temporary solution. To create a multi-user chat app there needs to be a room to test with and why not populate it with some jolly people?
Please don't vote for this question but feel free to answer or comment. :-)

Apparently there seems to be some MUC code from the good old maemo or meego days. Does anyone know anything about that?

People are stopping by the chat room and talking ideas. If you like the idea of having a MUC app for sailfish then join us there, ok?

Still hoping for a MUC app. Without it the xmpp support in the jolla phone will be of very limited use.
