Bug: Changing volume turns on display

If one changes the volume while the display is off, this action turns on the display. There's no need for this visual feedback, especially if there's already something playing sounds.

  • If the screen is turned off (dark, power saving mode)
  • And an app is playing sounds/music
  • And the user changes the volume
  • Do NOT turn on the screen for visual feedback of volume level.

There's no need to give a visual feedback about volume level when auditory feedback is available and sufficient for this.

If one changes the volume while the display is off, off and something is playing sounds, this action turns on the display. There's no need for this visual feedback, especially feedback if there's already something playing sounds.

To reproduce this error:

  • If the screen is turned off (dark, power saving mode)Start playing some music.
  • And an app is playing sounds/musicTurn off screen
  • And the user changes Change (increase/decrease) the volume
