Very few phones allow this, It could be another differentiating factor.
I used to have a phone which allowed me to send flash smss (sms type 0 - show up immediately on the receiver's screen) which is very usefull in certain cases, and is part of the GSM protocol.
So Jolla should support changing the type of a new message to flash. It's easy to do, and also usefull
