Add landscape mode for app launcher and base screens

I often use the phone in Landscape mode, however, when I leave an app, the base UI does not rotate to landscape mode (app launcher, lock-screen, events screen, ambiance screens, etc). This is confusing, especially when leaving an app from landscape, starting a new app and continuing in landscape. I would like landscape mode for the base screens too. I am not asking for automatic landscape mode for all applications, or even all core applications, merely the launcher and the base screens.
