The patch for QTBUG-37640 allows QtMultimedia to fetch current track informations of a playing stream. This is useful for internet radio players - so one can easily retrieve the information using the metadata properties in QMLs MediaPlayer/Audio element or with QMediaPlayer in C++.

Update 05.12.2014

Until now, we don't have any reaction from Jolla and the patch is still not merged in the current opt-in release 1.1.0.39 Uitukka.

The patch is rather small and it should not be a huge problem to merge it into Sailfish OS.

Can you provide any information when this patch can be merged, or is there anything the community can do to help you?
