Could it be possible to have a preview of any notification by long pressing (or some other gesture) the notification in notification screen without opening the app (phone, messages, email etc.)?

E.g. there is two notifications in the notification screen: a missed call notification and a new mail notification. Now one has to tap the missed call notification and the phone app is opening so you can see from who the missed call is, then you close the app and go to the notification screen again and tap the new mail notification and the email app opens and so on...

With preview possibility one could see directly from the notification screen from who the missed call is and then an other preview of the new mail notification to see the sender and subject of the email. After that one can choose to clear notifications.

There could also be a Setting for the preview to automatically clear the previewed notification.
