[hint] [howto] ergonomic and easy to memorize app folder usage pattern

After fiddeling for hours with app foldering to have a comfortable ergonomic and easy to memorize app view pattern, i would like to share my result to maybe give some hints.

First observation in ergonomics is the "Thumb comfortzone" in onehanded use, which is logically mirrored if you tend to use your left hand. I personally find the first and last row the hardest to reach with my thumb, so i sorted apps of less priority to them.

thumb comfort

The four columns are sortable ergonomically in access speed from right to left, with the most left column to be the slowest to access, thus holding the folders in my logic.

column priority

To easily memorize where i placed which app icon, i sort them in thematic rows, each of them starting with a topic related named folder containing the least important apps per topic. So each row always sports the three most important apps per topic in fast accessible columns.

row priority

Into how many rows/folders you categorize your apps is totally up to your preferences, my logic is to have not more than two vertical pages because i tend to forget the content of the third page :P

second page

Admitted this is an old mans take on things, maybe my thumb is already rusted and my memory lacks a bit, but this sort pattern definately helps me out of those "come on! where is that frickin' app" moments!
