The old problem of mobile data semi permanently disabling itself, which I hadn't had for ages or heard reported is back with a vengeance since the update.
Had to reboot it a dozen times at least so far.
Worse still, it now appears to be completely stuck, and rebooting / flight mode and waiting does nothing. It just remains disabled permanently. To compound this, it only now accepts existing (remembered) wifi networks that were on the phone prior to the latests problem. New ones can't be connected to / don't go to password prompt.
As I left for a holiday today, I now have a brick with me ... no mobile data and no familar networks.

Don't suppose someone has a magical fix, or do I have to wait until August / September for the next update?

Edit: After all the updates and 'answer' below, I finally got the conman network 'hotfix and updated to it', as it seemed to be my last hope. Predictably, it changed absolutely nothing whatsoever, aside from removing the option to enable or disable mobile data entirely (it didn't work anyway). As the thread seemed to suggest, the biggest problems with connectivity are just as bad if not worse with the 'fix'. Unless there's a very prompt fix from Jolla (seems extremely unlikely), that's the end for me and Jolla. I'll revert to my N9 when I get home, then move to Ubuntu Phone when it's released. Sad to say, but I don't think I'll be coming back for a long, long time (if Jolla is still around) .. the rate of progress is glacial, and often 'fixes' seem like regression. Good luck to all, hope you had a better experience than I did.

EDIT2 To my amazement, the July Sailfish update fixed it. Which is just as well, because my N9 appears to have died in the ~6 months I haven't been using it.
