Where are my preferred basic features?

Now I have my Jolla since December 2013 and I am using it since then. Actually, I have no great demands on apps.

I always thought, that a Smartphone with a new OS, should bring some basic apps from the start, but I was wrong.

As former Iphone user, the first weeks were painful, the gestures were fast learned, but little native apps and always the same sturdy answer: there is an android app, are frustrating.

If I wanted to use android apps, I would have bought me a nexus. And the crappy apps of the preinstalled Yandex store didn't make it better. I have no experience with Linux, so always I read "open the terminal", my frustration level roses, and the google store was unreachable for me. In the meantime Aptoide brought a significant improvement

I understand the pro developer, that they want to paid for their work, so the 1st missing feature is paid apps to get more and good native apps into harbour.

The 2nd missing feature is a native turn by turn navigation app. It must not be with offline maps at the start, but almost every little crappy smartphone comes with a native navigation.

The 3rd missing feature is a working calendar with notifications and without using Google or Outlook. I still get no notifications when my contacts have birthday.

The 4th missing feature is webcal/ics. I thought webcal/ics is a standard, but I was wrong probably.

The 5th is….big announcements and then nothing official from Jolla about delays or so. What about Rovio, Makia, Younited and Appello (HERE maps app developer, and no news after they turned to OSM)?

At the moment I don't care what little nice gimmicks are posted on Twitter or Facebook, if my preferred features are not working. Maybe this is a hacker friendly smartphone, but for me as a normal user it is not.

I really hoped, that we will get a European competitor for Android and IOS and I give Jolla the chance to put foot down. My personal deadline is the 1st anniversary of the launch date, Nov, 27th.

Jolla, it is up to you, if I am gonna be a Sailor or an Apple disciple in December.

PS: There is no need for comments (everebody has it's own preferences), just an official statement would be nice.
