We have moved to a new Sailfish OS Forum. Please start new discussions there.

I suggest to merge the lock screen and the notification screen. The way it is now, with swipe from (outside) bottom to access the notifications is quite useless if one use security code.
Also, it is not necessary to have a separate screen for notifications - this was demonstrated by MeeGo/Harmattan on Nokia N9: The notifications can be put directly on the lock screen, as icons, that can be swept to the side to open. This would not interfere with Sailfish OS swiping, as one would have to swipe directly on the notification icon in order to open it.
I have read that this "probably" is protected by some Nokia (Microsoft) patent. If so, please clarify with a reference to the patent.
If not, please implement this for greatly improved usability.

Update: Let's not forget that we have two "lock-screens": The black standby screen (now with optional "glance" mode), and behind double-tap/pwrbtn we have the "main" lock-screen. An extra notification screen is superfluous.

Update: 1.1.7.27: Improved usability implemented when lock code is active: When releasing finger on notification screen, one is presented directly with the unlock screen (if lock has been activated).
