I'd love to see an option to see received messages on the left-hand side as with Mitakuuluu2.
The reasoning is that you usually have a clue as to what you sent out, so it's more important that you see the new messages at first glance. Putting received messages on the left side of the screen means your eyes will automatically land on the received messages and read on to your replies.
Making this an option means people who disagree can keep the current behavior.
