Is it possible to get support to RFCOMM bluetooth profile to Android apps?

I have been using Beddit sleep tracker with Android phone and would like to keep on using it in Jolla as well. The app itself works fine, but does not work since Bluetooth support is lacking RFCOMM profile support.

The helpdesk at Beddit has been very supportive for this effort so it would be probably very beneficial for them as well to get support for Jolla.
