When swiping from outside the screen, pages should "Slide in" rather than "Fade in"

This goes down to personal taste, but I find it unintuitive that when swiping in from outside the screen (from side or bottom), the task switcher or notification screen fade in rather than sliding in following the movement of the finger. Aside from the aesthetics of it, sliding in would also give some reassurance that the correct gesture was initiated, because at least I sometimes swipe wrongly and don't realise it until the gesture is completed.
