Unable to re-install Android apps after system reset

I just had my Jolla in for warranty repair in Finland. It came back wiped clean and with a new, completely virgin system installed. "About product" shows 1.8 / 13.7 in the circle and below it says Sailfish OS 1.0.8.19.

First thing I did was to try to get all my old apps back that had worked fine before the repair: - installed Android support from Jolla store - installed File Browser from Jolla store - set "Untrusted software" to Allowed - copied over several .apk files of well-known apps - WeChat, Uber, Mycelium, etc. - that I had used before and saved on my Mac - went to the apk's in File Browser and chose Install from pull-down menu

All I get is: "Install launched If nothing happens, then the package is probably faulty."

Nothing happened, but I downloaded all the apps directly from the original developer and used the same .apk files before, so I'm quite sure they're not faulty. My Jolla phone, coming back directly from Jolla, is about as much reset as it could possibly be.

What can I do?
