The Events (notifications) screen follows your screen orientation (supports landscape mode). However, the "Show presence details" screen does not. So when you open the presence details from a landscape events screen, you will see the presence details sideways. The presence details page, being a subpage of the Events screen, should follow the same orientation.
(The Events screen even rotates 180 degrees, i.e. when you hold your phone upside down (which can be considered a bug I guess, because that doesn't happen elsewhere in the system). From that orientation you will get the presence details upside down.)
