Why Sailfish and Jolla are not ready yet - experience [not a question]

So, I need to tell you my experiences with Jolla.

I'm a fan of Nokia phones. I've had N8, E7, N9, Lumia 920 and Lumia 1520 and that's only the smartphones. N9 was really my favourite, so I really wanted to see how's Meegos legacy doing right now. I got used, but in good shape being Jolla. I've had it for few weeks now and want to share how I feel about it.

It's damn beautiful, that's for sure. Using it is like riding a bike, once you learn it, it's the most natural thing. But I'll focus on the things which are not great. And I mainly compare it to Windows Phone, which I'm using daily.

  1. Browser - super slow sometimes. Rendering the web page takes forever sometimes. Even with the IE, which is not the fastest, I don't frustrate like this.
  2. Android apps & ecosystem - Almost for all services you have to use android apps. And they don't work well enough. They crash once in a while and notifications won't work well in any way.
  3. Stores - best store seems to be warehouse, but that shouldn't be the thing, right? Aptoide works pretty well, but they don't have even all the basic apps.
  4. OS - It's not stable enough. Phone gets laggy after a week or so and needs a restart. This prize tag is too much for laggy.
  5. Quality of native apps - even the email app is not the best experience.

So, I'm sticking with WP for a while and check Sailfish again later. I'm a engineering student btw, so it has been easier for me than for average Joe. Thanks for listening and hope this great community won't fade away.
