Current workflow for copying URL in browser

1. From a browser tab, click on tab button (that shows number) to tabs view
2. In the address input field, the URL text is auto-selected by default.
3. Now one can not just copy this auto-selected URL text without manual selection again. That is, currently, i have to long press to select entire URL to copy it to clipboard and then use it elsewhere for pasting.

Can this be improved by having separate copy button shown on key pad always instead of just paste button?

This is a common use case where people share URL links in other applications. Can we have a quicker way of getting this done? If am doing something wrong or if there are better ways of getting this done, please let me know in comments. Thanks.
