I saw a picture of the Jolla SoC and I want to ask how feasible it would be to remove the 1GB LPDDR2 RAM chip and solder on a 2GB LPDDR2 chip? I have the following specific questions
a) In a POP setup, is the memory chip soldered as well as glued to the SoC? Like this? http://images.anandtech.com/doci/6914/apq8064-package.jpg
b) Has anyone re-worked a POP chip ever with just hot-air tools? If yes, can the RAM be removed easily? Here's a pic of the Jolla SoC POP http://jolla-sailfish.pl/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Podzespoły-Jolla-4.jpg
