During the system update to Vaarainjärvi the Maps application is not updated, but seems to be held back. This causes confusion amongst the users:

1. Maps disappeared during system update: https://together.jolla.com/question/72613/
2. new features are not available because users are stuck with old version: https://together.jolla.com/question/72822/

There is the workaround of a manual update, or uninstall and then re-install the application. However, a lot of users will not notice and continue to work on the old version not benefiting from the latest features. Or is the update intentionally not promoted?
