Matchstick recently announced hardware partners for their Chromecast/Miracast competitor, Flint. Flint is on github and offers free SDKs fro iOS and Android already. Now it may be that the Android libraries work out of the box but I presume we would prefer this to be available for native apps out of the box.
As streaming any kind of content is very important for tablet use (may it be movies, games or presentations), I'd think this would be a nice addition to the tablet if Miracast support (also already requested proves impossible.

[update 08/03/2015] the matchstick project is officially dead. hence, this feature request can be ignored/closed.
